Ferrari 365 GTB 4 – The Red Baron

Quite a few of the real Ferrari enthusiasts consider the GTB 4 the most beautiful and attractive Ferrari of all times. The name Daytona, as this perfect piece of art is or was called, on the other hand has never been the official name of this sportscar, bringing back the memories to the year 1967, the first year of its production, when Ferrari won the 24 hours of Daytona with its famous famous mid-engine P4.
The 365 GTB 4 had nothing in common with the P4. The GTB 4 was rather standard construction with a transaxle concept. The amount of cylinders on the other hand was rather unusual 12 cylinders with 365 cubic-centimeter each made up the 4.4 Liter engine volume and with a weight of 1.6 tons this beauty had a top speed of 275 kms per hour, the equivalent of around 175miles/hr. The gasoline consumption was high as the amount of cylinders, since the car consumed and consumes around 25-30 liters per 100 kms. There were only 1300 Coupes and 121 Spyders produced of this lovely and rare sportscar and when we look back to the 1990’s GBT 4’s were sold at auctions in the range from 600 – 800000 US $. Today prices are considerably lower than in those days, but nevertheless the car is extremely desirable. We are very happy to provide you with an everyday selection of these fine motorcars and we are proud to do so. For all your advertising needs we are here to serve you around the clock. If you are trying to buy or to sell this special car, we are the world’s marketplace for fine sports- and racecars. Please do not hesitate to contact me at massier@racingdeal.com.
