Cecil Kimber,who already owned a Morris dealership in 1924, was the first to promote his own sporty Morris versions in''The Morris Owner''in the years to follow. The first MG Miget was already introduced in 1928 and was a reasonably priced sportscar for the young british population and the MGs of the later days were all based on the Midged J2, who premiered in 1932. In 1935 Sir William Morris took over MG and stopped the support for a company sponsored motorsportteam due to the lack of funds.In 1952 MG, Morris and Austin formed the British Motor Corporation BMC and the MGA ended the era of the MGTC.Even the "Big Healeys" were assembled at the MG Abingdon plant.MG will always be a brand to be remembered even so the cars of the present are not drawing as much attention as the cars from the past.
