	Investment market: Germany The german market is growing very fast. Cars mostly have to be in outstanding order or restored to original specification. At the higher end of the market Germans are dedicated to a well documented car and history. British marques are still very high on the German collectors car buying-list and major shows like the Techno Classica, the Technorama, the Veterama or the Retro Classics attract a lot of attention. The Meilenwerk in Berlin is a special attraction for worldwide collectors and there will be a new Meilenwerk opened in September in Düsseldorf. With the recovery of the german economy the high end market with cars like the Porsche 911 and 356 , Mercedes SL, BMW 507 or 3.0 CSL is gaining market share on the expense of the entry-and midprice-level, where many cars – when they are not in excellent order- tend to be put on hold. The main collectors cars magazines are Motor Klassik and Markt and the auction scene- if you compare Germany with the UK or the US- is totally underdeveloped.

	Cars to watch : Sunbeam Tiger Can’t scrape together enough petty cash for a Cobra or Sheby GT 350 ? Well, there is always the 260/289 Sunbeam Tiger, developed by Carroll Shelby for the Roots Group. It’s a wonderful pedal-to-the-metal- car and the Tiger 260 –produced from 1964-67 with Ford’s small block V8 is a good entry on most racing events. With prices around 15.000 to 30.000 Euros for real good examples this is still a steal.
